Biography

Head of the eLearning unit at the University of Geneva, I am in charge of teaching and learning software environments.

I received my degree in Computer Science in 1997 and my PhD at the University of Geneva in 2002 in the field of Human Computer Interaction (HCI). Laureate of the LATSIS prize 2004, I then completed a Postdoc in the HCI group at the Humboldt University where I conducted research in the home automation field. Since 2004, I work in the IT division where I am in charge of the development of new teaching and learning software environments. I am also lecturer of the course “Man Machine Interaction”, "Multimodal and Affective Interaction" and supervise Bachelor and Master students in Computer Science.

My interests include LMS, ePortfolio, Mobile Learning, Usability and UX. I am also member of the Chamilo, Moodle and Mahara communities and several Swiss Special Interest Groups such as ePortfolio, mLearning and SaMoo. Since 2002 he is reviewer for the ACM SIG-CHI conference.
